Cadillac key replacement in Winnipeg — Escalade to Lyriq, cut and programmed at your car.

At RAXO Locksmiths in Winnipeg, I cut and program Cadillac keys and Smart Keys at your vehicle — spare keys from $90+, Smart Keys from $180+, all-keys-lost from $280+ (plus tax) — with a written quote by text before I drive out.

I'm Leo, and Cadillac is a full brand for me, not an afterthought bolted onto the Chevy page. Escalade, XT4 / XT5 / XT6, CT4 / CT5, and the older ATS, CTS, XTS, SRX and DTS — plus the Lyriq EV — all get cut and programmed on-site. Under the crest it's still GM: an Escalade shares its key family with a Tahoe and a Yukon, so I work from dealer-level access and one box of GM blanks. Lost every key with none to copy? That's a lost car keys job, and I still program those on-site — no dealer tow.

Why a Cadillac isn't a dealer-only key

Premium badge, GM key underneath.

Cadillac is General Motors' luxury division, and that's good news when you need a key. Because Cadillac shares GM's platforms, it shares GM's key blanks and programming — so a Cadillac isn't some exotic, dealer-only part. It's a GM key I already carry, cut and program at your vehicle with dealer-level access.

Escalade

Shares the full-size SUV key

Escalade and Escalade ESV sit on GM's full-size SUV platform — the same one as the Tahoe, Yukon and Suburban. Same key family per generation: transponder + remote on the GMT900 (2007–2014), Smart Key from the 2015 K2XX, standard Smart Key on the 2021+ T1XX.

CT + XT

Same chip families as their GM cousins

The CT4 / CT5 sedans and XT4 / XT5 / XT6 crossovers use the same GM Smart Key families as the equivalent Chevrolet and GMC of their year. Premium interior, standard GM key hardware.

Lyriq (EV)

Ultium EV, same Smart Key

The Lyriq rides GM's Ultium EV platform but keeps the same proximity Smart Key architecture as GM's current gas trucks and SUVs. The electric powertrain doesn't change the key job.

The Cadillac lineup

Every Cadillac in scope — SUV, sedan, crossover, EV.

From the Escalade flagship to the electric Lyriq, and back through the CTS and SRX years — text me the year and model and I'll confirm the exact key and price before booking.

Escalade / ESV

Full-size SUV · flagship

2007–2014 transponder + remote; 2015+ Smart Key; 2021+ Smart Key standard. Shares the Tahoe / Yukon key family. The most common Cadillac call I take.

XT4 / XT5 / XT6

Crossovers · 2017 +

XT5 (2017+), XT4 (2019+), XT6 (2020+). Proximity Smart Key standard. GM crossover key families.

CT4 / CT5

Sedans · 2020 +

The current Cadillac sedans, incl. the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing. Smart Key standard.

ATS / CTS / XTS

Sedans · 2008 – 2019

ATS (2013–2019), CTS (2003–2019), XTS (2013–2019). Transponder + remote through Smart Key by trim and year. Well-supported.

SRX / DTS / STS

Older SUV + sedans

SRX (2004–2016), DTS (2006–2011), STS (2005–2011). GM transponder + remote keys — usually the value end of the Cadillac bracket.

Lyriq & EVs

Ultium · 2023 +

Lyriq (2023+) plus the newer Optiq / Vistiq / Escalade IQ. Proximity Smart Key, same architecture as GM's current trucks. EV powertrain doesn't change the key job.

Classic Cadillac — DeVille, Seville, Eldorado, Fleetwood — sits in GM's earlier resistor-pellet and transponder eras and is still in scope. Text the year/model and I'll confirm the key style.

Escalade — the flagship

Lost your Escalade Smart Keys? Done at the curb, no tow.

The Escalade is the Cadillac I'm called out for most — usually a spare Smart Key, a fob that's stopped working, or a lost-all-keys job on an older ESV. Because it shares the GM full-size SUV key family (Tahoe / Yukon / Suburban), I cut a fresh emergency blade and program a new proximity Smart Key into the immobilizer right in your driveway, with dealer-level access. No flatbed to the dealership, no waiting on a parts order.

2007 – 2014 · GMT900

Transponder + remote

Chip key plus a separate remote fob. Common all-keys-lost job today — these Escalades are 12–19 years old now.

2015 – 2020 · K2XX

Proximity Smart Key

Push-button start with a proximity fob. Same Smart Key family as the Tahoe / Yukon of the same years.

2021 + · T1XX

Smart Key standard

Newest Escalade platform, incl. the Escalade-V and electric Escalade IQ. Dealer-level access required for all-keys-lost — that's what I have.

Cadillac pricing

How much does a Cadillac key cost in Winnipeg?

At RAXO Locksmiths in Winnipeg, I cut and program Cadillac car keys on-site — spare keys from $90+, Smart Keys from $180+, all-keys-lost from $280+ (plus tax), with a written quote by text before I drive out.

Cadillac uses the same GM key hardware as the rest of the lineup, so it's the same bracket. Most current Cadillacs run a proximity Smart Key, which sits at the higher end for the fob hardware; older CTS / SRX / DTS transponder keys sit lower.

Spare / extra key

Spare Cadillac key or Smart Key

$90+ transponder

$160+ remote head / flip

$180+ smart key

Cut and programmed at your vehicle. Older transponder Cadillacs at the floor; proximity Smart Key models sit higher. Full breakdown on the spare key page.

Lost all keys (AKL)

All-keys-lost replacement

$280+

A brand-new Cadillac key, cut and programmed on-site through dealer-level access after an ownership check. You skip the GM parts-order, the tow, and the service-bay timing. Details on the lost-keys page.

Fob programming only

BYO fob or supply + program

$90+ you bring it

$90+ I supply

Bring a reputable aftermarket Cadillac fob and the programming is labour-only at $90+; or I supply a basic remote — same $90+ floor. A push-button-start proximity Smart Key is a pricier part — that's the spare / AKL pricing above, not a $90 basic-fob job. Fob programming details →

Manitoba PST 7% + GST 5% = 12% added to the total. Free inside the Perimeter; 90¢/km beyond, up to roughly 150 km. Payment by e-transfer, tap, or cash — after the key works. Full pricing transparency on the pricing page. Cadillac is part of the GM family — see the GM overview, or the Chevrolet, GMC, and Buick pages.

Cadillac key questions, answered.

Cadillac-specific answers below. For the shared GM key story see the GM overview; for general service, pricing and how-it-works, see the spare, lost-keys, and FAQ pages.

Do you make Cadillac keys in Winnipeg, or only Chevy and GMC?

Cadillac too — it's a full brand for me, not an afterthought. Cadillac is General Motors' premium marque, and under the badge it uses the same GM key hardware as the rest of the lineup. An Escalade shares its key family with a Tahoe and a Yukon; the XT and CT models use the same GM chip and Smart Key families as their Chevrolet and GMC counterparts by year. So a Cadillac is a job I cut and program on-site at your vehicle, same as any GM.

How much does a Cadillac key or Smart Key cost in Winnipeg?

Spare Cadillac key: transponder $90+, remote-head/flip $160+, proximity Smart Key $180+, all-keys-lost $280+, plus tax. Fob programming alone starts at $90+. Most current Cadillacs use a push-button-start Smart Key, which sits at the higher end because the proximity fob hardware costs more. Older CTS/SRX/DTS transponder keys sit lower. You get the exact number in a written quote by text before I drive out.

Can you program a new Cadillac Escalade Smart Key if I lost both?

Yes — that's the all-keys-lost (AKL) job. The Escalade shares the GM full-size SUV key family (Tahoe / Yukon / Suburban), so using dealer-level access I cut a fresh emergency blade and program a new proximity Smart Key into the immobilizer right at your vehicle in Winnipeg — no dealer tow, no parts-order wait. Before I start I verify ownership: photo ID matched to your registration or proof of insurance in your name. If your papers are locked inside, I run the lockout first.

Which Cadillac models do you cover?

All of them in scope: Escalade and Escalade ESV (plus the older Escalade EXT pickup), the XT4 / XT5 / XT6 crossovers, the CT4 / CT5 sedans, the older ATS, CTS, XTS, SRX, DTS, STS, DeVille, Seville and Eldorado, and the Lyriq EV. If it's a Cadillac, text me the year and model and I'll confirm the exact key and price before booking.

Is a Cadillac Lyriq (EV) key different from a gas Cadillac?

No — the Lyriq is on GM's Ultium EV platform, but it uses the same proximity Smart Key architecture as GM's current gas trucks and SUVs. The electric powertrain doesn't change the key or immobilizer side of the job. It's in scope at the standard Smart Key pricing.

Do you do older Cadillacs — CTS, SRX, DTS, STS, DeVille?

Yes. The 2003–2019 CTS, 2004–2016 SRX, and the DTS / STS / XTS sedans run GM transponder + remote keys — well-supported and usually the value end of the Cadillac bracket. Older DeVille, Seville and Eldorado land in GM's earlier resistor-pellet or transponder eras. Text me the year and I'll confirm the key style before I book.

How long does a Cadillac key replacement take?

A spare cut from an existing key runs 5–10 minutes; a transponder or Smart Key spare 30–40 minutes at your vehicle. Lost every key, plan 1–3 hours — decoding and ownership checks add time. Exact timing comes with the written quote.

A Cadillac in your driveway?

Quote in writing before I dispatch. Escalade, XT, CT, or a classic — every Cadillac in scope, cut and programmed on-site. Pay after the key starts the engine.
