Terms of Service.

Effective date: March 7, 2026 · Last updated: September 11, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RAXO Locksmiths website, customer support channels, and Meta-connected messaging experiences (Facebook Messenger, Instagram). By contacting us, messaging us, or using our site, you agree to these Terms. The terms of each on-site job are in the work order you sign before the work starts — section 9 summarizes them.

RAXO Locksmiths is a trade name of RAXO Group Inc. (Manitoba corporation #10249209) — together referred to in these Terms as "RAXO," "we," "us," or "our." References to first-person plural in these Terms refer to RAXO Group Inc. as the contracting entity, not to any individual operator.

2.Purpose of our website and messaging channels

Our website and messaging channels are provided so you can:

  • contact customer support;
  • request information about services we offer;
  • submit vehicle or key details for assessment;
  • send photos for service evaluation;
  • request a quote or estimate;
  • communicate about possible scheduling or service availability.

Use of our website or messaging channels does not guarantee that we will accept a job, provide service, or offer a final quote.

3.No automatic service agreement

Messages, AI-assisted responses, preliminary estimates, and support replies are for information and intake purposes only.

A binding service arrangement is created only if and when we expressly confirm in writing that:

  • the request is within our service scope;
  • we agree to take the job;
  • we have provided a final confirmed quote or service confirmation.

4.Customer information and accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when contacting us, including where relevant:

  • vehicle year, make, model, and trim;
  • whether you have a working key;
  • clear and truthful photos of the key, fob, or vehicle;
  • location and contact details;
  • any other facts material to the requested service.

We are not responsible for delays, pricing changes, or service refusal caused by inaccurate or incomplete information.

5.Photo and media submissions

If you send us photos, videos, or other media, you represent that:

  • you have the right to share them;
  • the content is lawful;
  • the content does not violate any third-party rights.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to use submitted media solely for customer support, service evaluation, quote preparation, internal review, fraud prevention, and operational recordkeeping.

6.Quotes and estimates

Any quote, estimate, range, or pricing indication provided through our website, messaging, or support channels is preliminary unless we expressly confirm it in writing as a final quote.

Final pricing may depend on:

  • actual vehicle details upon inspection;
  • actual key, fob, or immobilizer type;
  • service scope;
  • location and travel;
  • compatibility findings on arrival;
  • any material differences between what was described and what is actually required.

If we determine that a request is outside our scope or risk tolerance, we may decline service.

7.Scope limitations and service refusal

We reserve the right to refuse, stop, or limit service requests at our discretion, including where:

  • the request appears unsafe, unlawful, suspicious, or abusive;
  • ownership or authorization is unclear;
  • the vehicle, key type, or requested work is outside our supported scope;
  • customer-supplied parts, keys, or fobs are incompatible or not accepted;
  • required information is missing;
  • we reasonably believe the request presents excessive technical, legal, or operational risk.

8.Proof of ownership and authorization

You may be required to provide proof that you are the lawful owner, authorized user, or otherwise entitled to request assistance for the vehicle or item involved. This typically means a government photo ID matched to vehicle ownership proof — vehicle registration (paper or PDF), proof of insurance in your name, or equivalent evidence. If documents are inaccessible (e.g., locked inside the vehicle), the lockout service can be performed first to retrieve them before any key generation or programming begins.

We may refuse or discontinue service if ownership or authorization cannot be reasonably verified. Verifying ownership before any key is cut or programmed is a standing condition of service. What we record from that check, and for how long, is set out in section 9 and in our Privacy Policy.

9.On-site service terms — the work order you sign

Before any on-site work starts, you read and sign RAXO's work order — on the screen you are handed on site, or on paper. That signed work order is the agreement for the job, and a copy of it is attached to your receipt or invoice. Its key terms, in force from September 10, 2026:

  • Ownership check. Government photo ID matched to the vehicle's registration or proof of insurance, with the VIN and plate recorded on the order — a standing step before any key is cut or programmed (section 8). If ownership can't be verified, no key is cut or programmed and only the $45 + tax service-call fee applies.
  • Pay when it works. You don't pay before the work is done. When it's finished we show it working — the new key starts the vehicle and works the locks, or the door is open — and the full quoted amount is then due on the spot by e-Transfer, tap or card, or cash. The keys we make are handed over on payment.
  • If payment can't happen on the day. The keys we make stay with us until the full balance is paid — you keep any key you already had. Once it is paid, you pick the keys up at an arranged time at no charge, or we return to hand them over and confirm everything works — that return visit is the $45 + tax service-call fee plus mileage where it applies. After ten days with no payment and no contact, and a written notice, the order is treated as abandoned; the overdue-balance terms still apply.
  • Not serviceable or cancelled. If the vehicle can't be serviced for a reason that wasn't shared up front, or a job is cancelled or nobody is there after we're on the way, only the $45 + tax service-call fee applies, plus any mileage shown in your written quote — never when the job gets done.
  • Work that has to wait. If part of a job can't be finished on site — a weak vehicle battery, a part or key code on order — the finished work is due on site, the rest is written on the order as left open and completed at no extra charge, and anything we can't finish comes off the price.
  • Overdue balances. Completed work that isn't paid for becomes a debt owed to RAXO Group Inc. Overdue balances accrue interest at 2.5% per month, compounded monthly (34.5% per year), starting 10 days after the service date. You also agree to repay the cost of collecting: our time on the account from the first written overdue notice, at $65 per hour in a dated log; travel for the collection at $2 per kilometre; every fee paid to file, serve or enforce a claim; and a collection agency's or lawyer's fees where the law allows them. Those charges never exceed the unpaid balance unless a court awards more, and you receive a written statement of them before anything is filed. A payment that bounces, is recalled or is charged back after the work is done is owed again in full, plus a $25 returned-payment fee. Debts may be recovered through the small claims court of the province where the work was done.
  • Warranty. One year on the parts we supply against manufacturer defects, and never less than the minimum warranty the law sets on motor vehicle work — in Manitoba, 90 days or 5,000 km on the parts and the labour to install them. Full policy: Warranty.
  • Your vehicle. We take care with your car, but we are not responsible for problems that were already there — worn locks or handles, aftermarket wiring, a weak battery, hidden damage — or for what those cause during the work. On an all-keys-lost job, programming the new keys means the vehicle stops recognizing the old ones — a key found later won't start the car until it is programmed to it again. That is how the immobilizer is designed to work; it is not damage. If we spot a pre-existing problem, we tell you before we continue.
  • Photos as proof of service. We photograph the vehicle, its licence plate, VIN plate and odometer, and the keys, fobs or remotes we make. They stay in the job record and print on your receipt or invoice as proof of what was done and on which vehicle. They are never sold, shared or posted anywhere; any public use would need your separate written permission.
  • Complimentary pre-work scan. On vehicles our scan tool supports, we run a free, read-only electronic scan of the vehicle's computers before the key work starts and photograph the fault codes it reports (or the clean result). Those photos print on your receipt or invoice with the other proof-of-service photos — the record of the vehicle's electronic condition before we began. The scan is not a repair diagnosis: faults it shows were already there; fixing them is not part of the job, and we don't charge for them.
  • Your ID and ownership documents. We look at them to confirm you are entitled to have keys made for the vehicle, and we note the ID type and its last four digits. We photograph the documents only when that is needed to show entitlement; those photos never print on any document, are never shared except where the law requires, and are deleted two years after the service date unless a claim is open.
  • The recorded visit. Service visits are recorded on video and audio with a body-worn camera, for quality and safety. The recording is part of the job record, is never shared or posted, and is deleted two years after the service date unless a claim is open.

The full wording is on the work order itself; where this summary and the signed work order differ, the signed work order governs that job.

10.Customer-supplied keys, fobs, or parts

Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, we do not guarantee compatibility, performance, or warranty coverage for customer-supplied keys, fobs, blanks, shells, remotes, or other parts.

Any warranty we provide applies only to parts or inventory supplied by us, unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.

11.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use our website, forms, or messaging channels for unlawful purposes;
  • impersonate another person;
  • submit false ownership or identity information;
  • transmit harmful, abusive, harassing, fraudulent, or malicious content;
  • interfere with or misuse our systems, support tools, or workflows.

We may block, ignore, report, or preserve records of unlawful or abusive use.

12.Third-party platforms

If you contact us through Facebook, Instagram, or another third-party platform, your use of that platform remains subject to that platform's own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for third-party platform outages, delays, restrictions, account actions, or platform-controlled data handling.

13.Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access, instant response times, or immediate service availability. Response times may vary based on business hours, workload, staffing, platform outages, weather, technical issues, and service area constraints.

14.Disclaimer

Our website, support content, and messaging channels are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind except where expressly stated by us in writing.

Nothing on this website or in a message exchange should be interpreted as a guarantee that a specific job can or will be completed.

15.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RAXO Locksmiths and RAXO Group Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to use of the website, messaging channels, quote requests, or inability to obtain service.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

16.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RAXO Locksmiths and RAXO Group Inc. from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and costs arising from:

  • your misuse of the website or messaging channels;
  • your breach of these Terms;
  • false or misleading information you provide;
  • your violation of law or third-party rights.

17.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or messaging channels after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Manitoba.

19.Website content and copyright

The content on this website — the text and wording, the photographs of our work, and the page designs and layout — is original work created by and for RAXO Locksmiths (RAXO Group Inc.) and is protected by copyright under the laws of Canada. Copyright applies automatically on creation; no registration is required.

You are welcome to read this site, link to it, and share those links. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, mirror, rewrite, translate, or reuse the text, photographs, or page layouts — in whole or in part — on any other website, listing, profile, advertisement, or document, without our prior written permission.

If we find this content reproduced without permission, we may pursue any available remedy, including a copyright takedown notice — for example a DMCA notice to a U.S.-based host or to a search engine, or a notice under Canada's notice-and-notice regime — requiring the material to be removed. This does not limit fair-dealing use permitted by law, such as brief quotation with credit.
